  • Manufacturing from a drawing or sample
What a retrofit includes

CNC machine modernisation

The scope depends on diagnostics. We retain sound assemblies and upgrade what limits reliability and operation.

Keep the mechanics. Upgrade the controls.

Many CNC machines retain sound mechanical assemblies while their controls become outdated and increasingly costly to repair. After a technical assessment, retaining the mechanical structure and replacing the controls and electrical equipment can be an alternative to buying a new machine.

We assess the machine as a complete system: lubrication, hydraulics, cooling, pneumatics and geometry are checked alongside the controls. The scope is defined by the condition of the equipment and the production task.

Replace

  • CNC controls and operator panel
  • Servo motors and drives
  • Electrical cabinet and wiring
  • Axis measurement systems

Repair

  • Lubrication system
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Cooling system
  • Guideways and ball screws where required

Retain after inspection

  • Machine bed and frame
  • Mechanical structure
  • Spindle
  • Foundation and workshop layout
Technical and economic assessment

Retrofit or a new machine?

We compare cost, timing and risk. If modernisation is not justified, we recommend another approach.

Retrofit is justified when

  • The mechanics are sound or repairable
  • The machine meets process requirements
  • Parts for the old control system are unavailable
  • New machine delivery time is critical
  • The machine is heavy and high-value

A new machine is a better choice when

  • Mechanical wear is substantial
  • New axes, speeds or accuracy are required
  • The product or volume is changing significantly
  • Repair costs approach the price of a new machine
Maintenance agreements

Maintenance options

Scope, price and response terms are agreed after diagnostics and assessment of equipment criticality.

Scheduled

  • Preventive maintenance to an annual schedule
  • Accuracy and setup checks
  • Condition report after each visit

Priority

  • Scheduled maintenance and priority response
  • A stock of critical spare parts
  • Vibration and thermal diagnostics

Comprehensive

  • Activities included in priority maintenance
  • Remote condition monitoring
  • Mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR) reports
  • An annual equipment modernisation plan
Practical technical experience

CNC modernisation and service

Controls, drives and on-site maintenance, selected to suit the machine and its role in production.

01 / Controls and drives

Experience across generations of CNC equipment

Our installation experience includes FANUC 3, FANUC 6, FANUC 0i, SIEMENS and Bulgarian control systems ETA 17, TIKSI 300 and TSF.

  • Replacement of feed and spindle drives: FANUC, Technotronica, ELL – Sliven and RMS – Sliven.
  • Installation of programmable controllers on machines without CNC, to simplify control and maintenance.
  • Modernisation of metalworking and other production equipment.
02 / Diagnostics and service

Support where the machine operates

We repair and service CNC machines at the customer's premises, with scheduled maintenance agreements and service on request.

Our experience includes ZMM Metalik equipment and Bulgarian turning and milling machines.

Practical answers

Questions before we start

How long is the machine stopped during a retrofit?

The cabinet is prepared in advance to limit downtime to removal, installation and commissioning. The specific duration is determined after diagnostics.

What if a spare part is no longer manufactured?

We manufacture it from a drawing or sample using CNC machining, or propose a modern replacement following a technical assessment.

Do you work on the client’s premises?

Yes. Service and installation are carried out on site. Our bases are in Sofia and Sliven; visits are arranged in advance.

Can you modernise machines from any manufacturer?

Feasibility is determined during diagnostics. Mechanical condition, process requirements and available documentation are decisive.
