Industrial automation & robotics

Connected operations and systems.

We automate repetitive and demanding operations, connect machines into a shared system and provide real-time data for stable capacity and repeatable quality.

Service scope

Three levels of automation

From a single robotic operation to connected production. Each level can be implemented independently.

Robotics

  • Tending CNC machines, presses and injection moulding machines
  • Palletising and end-of-line operations
  • Handling, packaging and pick & place
  • Welding and processing
  • Custom grippers and tooling

Automation & control

  • PLC programming
  • HMI and SCADA visualisation
  • Electrical cabinets and wiring
  • Line control upgrades
  • Risk assessment and protective systems

Industry 4.0

  • Machine connectivity using OPC UA, Modbus and MQTT
  • Real-time data collection
  • Production dashboards and alerts
  • ERP and MES integration
  • Batch and product traceability
Typical applications

Applications with an operational purpose

Potential applications depend on the process and equipment. These are not published client case studies.

CNC machine tending

The robot loads and unloads parts. The operator handles setup and process supervision.

We track: Machine utilisation and capacity

Palletising

Stacking boxes, bags and packages to a defined pattern, with product changeover.

We track: Physical workload and speed

Packaging and pick & place

Picking, orienting and placing products, including camera-guided handling.

We track: Productivity and repeatability

Welding

Robotic welding cells for series production with controlled process parameters.

We track: Weld quality and repeatability

Machine vision inspection

Checking dimensions, component presence and position, and reading codes. AI inspection can be added.

We track: Scrap and traceability

Internal logistics

Conveyors, buffers and autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for moving materials between operations.

We track: Waiting and transport time

Technology selection

Robot or cobot?

Selection depends on cycle time, weight, batch size and space. A cobot also requires a risk assessment of the complete application.

Selection guide. The specific model and risk assessment are decisive.
CriterionIndustrial robotCobot
Cycle & payloadSuitable for high speeds and larger payloads, depending on the modelSelected for payload and the application’s safe operating speed
WorkspaceUsually a dedicated cell and protective devicesMay operate in shared space following risk assessment
ChangeoverSuitable for stable production runs and dedicated toolingSuitable for flexible operations where cycle requirements allow
Typical applicationsPalletising, welding, heavy handlingMachine tending, assembly and packaging
Investment assessment

A decision grounded in numbers

We assess investment against measured production data: released time, additional capacity, quality and operating costs.

Released labour

Hours the team can redirect to other work.

Additional capacity

More good output within a stable production flow.

Quality

Less scrap and rework through a repeatable process.

Part of the technical solution

Safety from the design stage

Risk assessment

We assess the operation, human access and machine interactions before selecting protective measures.

Protective systems

We plan guards, protective devices and control functions to suit the application.

Documentation & acceptance

Documentation, tests and responsibilities are defined in the technical proposal.

From assessment to implementation

Working together

Scope and investment are defined after reviewing the actual process.

  1. 01

    Assessment

Site review, cycle recording, requirements and constraints.

  2. 02

    Concept

Layout, cycle simulation, budget and payback estimate.

  3. 03

    Design

Mechanical and electrical design, controls and safety.

  4. 04

    Build & FAT

Assembly and factory acceptance testing before delivery with client participation.

  5. 05

    Installation & SAT

On-site installation, commissioning and site acceptance testing.

  6. 06

    Training & support

Operator and maintenance team training, with a service agreement.

Practical answers

Questions before we start

Can robotics be viable for small batches?

The assessment depends on cycle time, changeover frequency and volume. A cobot or flexible cell may be suitable, but the choice must be justified by actual data.

Can we automate existing machines?

Yes, where interfaces and equipment condition allow integration. Obsolete controls can be modernised alongside automation.

Do we need a programmer on our team?

Operators manage daily work through an HMI panel. We train the team in programme changes and basic maintenance within the agreed scope.

Which brands do you work with?

We select the robot and components to suit the task, budget and available service support. Specific brands are defined in the technical proposal.

How long does a project take?

The schedule depends on complexity, equipment delivery and the installation window. It is defined in the proposal.

Who maintains the system after commissioning?

We offer a service agreement covering preventive maintenance, diagnostics and spare parts planning for the equipment.
